“Titles” Bestowed On Tramping Club Members

(By “Hobnail”)

Eight cheerful “bods” participated in the recent tramp to Otarawairere going via Ohope road, and returning cross country via the Pine Ridge track. Light nourishment was partaken of at Otarawairere in the form of mugs of smoky tea and slabs of black and rather indigestible toast. It was decided to bestow on Tramper Pat Stanley the title of Tea-brewer, third class; and on Tramper Dreghorn, who renders “Holy City” and “D’ya Ken -John Peel” in the same tune, title of Crooner, no class. The club now has a membership of 23, and a ‘New members’ drive i-5 planned for the near future.
