Clocks Fail From Shelf.

Crashing down from their shelf in a Devon Street jeweller’s window in New Plymouth recently, three large clocks smashed three glass shelves and sent cups, bowls and dishes flying to land in a confused jumble at the bottom of the I window. The casualty list was, i however, fairly . light. The shelves, only recently installed, were cracked badly, a Pyrex dish was broken,. a silver fruit bowl bent and a small clock lost part of it.s edge. Of the three clocks responsible for the damage only one lost its glass. Apparently they secure on their top shelf when the shop closed !on Friday, but the vibration of heavy traffic along Devon Street moved them to the edge from which they finally toppled.,
