St John Ambulance Assn. Loses Secretary: Mr E. R. Dillicar’s Resignation
Mr Ei R. Dillicar has v -resigned from the secretaryship of the Whakatane St John Ambulance Association, an honorary post in which he has given outstanding service to this community for the past five years. When the resignation was under consideration at Tuesday night's meeting of the Association’s executive, the chairman, Mr A. J. Canning, expressed the Association’s regret that pressure of work and shortage of staff in his own business had compelled Mr Dillicar to relinquish the post he had held with such distinction, and gave him credit for having played an important part in placing the Association 'on | its present sound financial footing. ! In reply, Mr Dillicar said he had always enjoyed the work of the As- . sociation, and, even though he could no longer take an executive part on it, he would always be one to give any assistance he could. He agreed to carry on as secretary until the annual meeting at the end of this month.
