Motu Claims Parsnip Record

Reading of the record claimed for a Rakauroa parsnip, measuring 6m across the top by ißin long, produced this season by Mir and Mrs F. Jeff ares, a Motu resident, Mr T. Jackson, paid more particular attention to the roots in his parsnip patch. There he found several measuring sin across the top. On digging, there was one s£in across and 24in long and another was 6£in across and 20in long. Mr Jackson says he is replanting the two largest from which he will save the seed.
