Unlawful State Tenants
That in cases where persons obtain admission to State houses by fraud or misrepresentation the law be amended to enable the unlawful tenant to be evicted 1 , was carried as a recommendation to the Government by the Dominion conference of the Society for the Protection of Women and Children. The Hon. B. Martin, M.L.C., the proposer, said that it was definitely unfair that people should remain in State houses, the tenancy of which they had obtained by fraud. “It is quite justifiable that this remit be put before the Government,” he said.
