Capital And Corporal Punishment Advocated
“In view of the serious crimes being committed against society this Grand Jury strongly recommends that capital and corporal punishment be reintroduced,” stated a presentment by the Grand Jury to Mr Justice Cornish at the opening of the Supreme Court at Napier. His Honor said that the recommendation would be noted and that it would be referred to the proper authorities.
