Stole Camera From Church Vestibule
The theft of a camera from the vestibule of a church he was just leaving after a service was admitted by George Cairns, 27, carpenter trainee, in the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington. Senior-Detective G. E. Callaghan said the offence took place in Gisborne on November 22. The complainant went to church that day and left his camerg in the vestibule. Cairns went to the same church. As he was leaving, he took the camera. To Mr Hanna, S.M., Cairns said: “I’m sorry it happened. It won’t happen again.” Mr Hanna admitted him to probation for 12 months.
