RANGITAIKX LAND DRAINAGENOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY GENERAL RATES Department of Lands & Survey, Wellington, 15th July 1948. Notice is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its j amendments, to make and levy, on | the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under jthe said Act, the general rate to meet I maintenance costs for the period Ist April, 1948, to 31st March 1949, as described in the Schedule hereto. The amount of such fates will be payable in one sum on 30th day of August, 1948, together with' the special rates already made and levied. The valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineer’s Office, Room 15, First Floor, Government Buildings; Customs Street West, Auckland. and a copy of same may be inspected at the office of the Land Drainage Engineer, at Thornton, near Whakatane, at all times at which those offices are opep for the transaction of public business. SCHEDULE Class A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the arbitrators appointed under Section 6 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, five pence and thirty-one one-hundredths of a penny (5.31 d) in the pound. Class B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as * Class B, three pence and fiftyfour one-hundredths of a penny (3.54 d) in the pound. Class C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and sev-enty-seven one-hundredths of a penny (1.77 d) in the pound.
