KITCHEN EVENING FOR BRIDE-ELECT

The kitchen evening held for Miss Joyce Hodgson, who was married recently, was well ( attended by friends. Rodey and his Boys played the dance music, Mr A. Bell and Mr Clements playing extras. The M.C. was Mr D. Syverston. After supper Mr R. Wardlaw on behalf of all present, asked Miss Hodgson to accept the many gifts with their best wishes for the future, and, on behalf of the basketball club, presented her with a special gift, with many thanks for her past help to the club. Mr Bethelheim, on behalf of the guest of honour, most suitably replied thanking all for the delightful evening and gifts. Dancing continued -until a late hour. Mr J. Mitchell arid Mr E. P. Woolfield, Waimana, are at present on holiday in Australia. They went by flying-boat recently.,
