Horseman In Hospital After Hunting Accident
Mr E. Moody, Taneatua, suffered injuries that put him in hospital in a hunting accident at Opouriao on Saturday. Landing after a jump, Mr Moody’s horse stumbled, unseating its rider who came down heavily on his head and shoulder. While the ambulance was summoned from Whakatane, followers of the hunt unhinged a gate and used it as a stretcher to carry the injured man half a mile or so across country. The district Hospital reported this morning that his condition was satisfactory, hut particulars of his injuries were not available.
