Now Just Groan

Lauren Bacall’s famous line to Humphrey Bogart in'“To Have And Have Not,” their first film together, is being repeated with a slight variation in their new film “Dark Passage.” Instead of saying to Bogart, “If you want anything just whistle,” Miss. Bacall has switched it to “If you want anything—just groan.” The reason for the ““groan” is that Bogart is in bed with injuries when Miss Bacall gives him the line.—W.B.
