FAMOUS ACROBATS TO VISIT WHAKATANE
It was just luck—Whakatane’s luck—when Mr R. Chapman, local theatre manager, heard that the famous Kwam Brothers, world-re-nowned acrobats, had been forced to spend a few days'longer in this country than they had at first intended. Mr Chapman got busy right away, and succeeded in arranging for them to visit this town on Saturday and Monday, July 10 and 12. This is to be the only country centre they will visit, and the fact will give Whakatane people a chance to see something away above the average in entertainment. These performers are better than good—they’re' sensational. That is the unanimous opinion of hardened city reviewers, men who know their stage and don’t pull their punches. Nor are the Kwam Brothers to come alone. Though their part of the programme alone is expected to be solid value for the admission money, the supporting cast, fresh from the Australian Tivoli Circuit, provide excellent supplementary entertainment.—P.B.A.
