I. Franke .who played a splendid game of Rugby -for. Rangitaiki against Galatea last Saturday, .is also proficient on the running track. In 1946. he represented West Coast North Island at' the New Zealand Junior championships and was placed 4th in the 100 yards event. Last year with D. R. Batten, New Zealand 220yds champion, he represented Canterbury College at sprinting in the Universities tournament. He is present holder of 'the Rotorua Athletic Club’s 220yds championship. , " .
