Kowhai Women’s Institute held * its June meeting on Tuesday. The meeting, which was presided over by Mrs J. Patterson, had a fair atfpTirlflHPP 1 The Roll Call ‘The Country I’d Like to Visit and Why?’ proved very interesting and amusing. Keen interest was shown in a very instructive demonstration given by Mrs Print on the making of Felt Novelties. During the evening all members took part in a wall competition whibh was won by Mrs Stenhouse. Mrs Haverbier, Misses Hannah - and Hanham served a dainty sup-, per, bringing the evening to a close. Competition results:—. Thrift article made from 51b salt bag: Miss Sutcliffe 1, Mrs Hedges 2, Mrs Haverbier 3. Three best ginger nuts: Mrs Pat-terson-1, Miss Fife % Mrs Ingle 3.
