Two-Fisted Parson
“Stars In My Crown, “ the dramatic story of a stalwart Southern parson, is to be produced for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer by William Wright, who produced the recently completed “The Bride Goes Wild,” starring Van Johnson and June Allyson. The novel, written by Joe David Brown, and published by the Morrow Company, tells of the adventures of a fearless preacher who appeared in a Tennessee town shortly after the War Between the States and brought the gospel to the tough characters of 1 the community. The film’s cast will be headed by stellar M.G.M. names.
