Early Lambs Whakatane probably takes the honours as the first district in New Zealand to have early lambs. At the end of May there were 10 big fat and healthy lambs born on the Pinedale property of Mr B. Lickfold at White Pine Bush. All the mothers and off-springs are reported to, be well.' Otimai For Sale The veteran motor-vessel Otimai, of the Northern Steamship Company’s fleet, has been put up for sale by tender in the Auckland Harbour. This little ship weighing 207 tons register and capable of carrying 196 tons of *cargo has been a visitor to the Whakatane Harbour for , over 20 years. Her last visit before she was taken off the East Coast run was in May.
