Whakatane Rugby Reps To Meet Tauranga In Saturday’s Match

Whakatane Rugby selectors have chosen a slightly different team to represent the Sub-Union against Tauranga this Saturday. Changes from the first rep team are, Cave in place of Hohua at centre and Goodwin five-eighths in place of R. Crapp. The Whakatane B representatives are to play the Barbarians, a team of the not-so-young Rugby men of yesterday. The B’s have been changed also. With Rutherford as first emergency for the A’s, Hudson has taken over his position on the wing. R. Crapp is in the five-eighths. Harawira replaces McCready at centre, with McCready on the wing. De Lacey is in as five-eighths and Debreceny as half. N. Dodds is the newcomer to the forwards, replacing Hunt. The teams are:— * A Team Welch, McGougan, Cave, Laurie, Tina Riini, Goodwin, Hurran, Rolfe, Ball, Ranapia, Ratahi, Gardiner, Hona, , Merito, Jensen. Reserves: Forwards, Cleland, Les Stewart.
