Voting By Marble
Illiterate voters in Yugoslavia are given small, sponge-rubber marbles with which to record their votes.
In the polling booth, a photograph of each candidate is placed over his respective ballot box.
After the voter’s name has been crossed off the nominal roll, he puts his marble in the box of the candidate he prefers.
