At a Sydney sale of thoroughbreds Attley realised 4000gns, St. Razzle 2500gns and Beryl Lavinia 1600gns. High Stakes The Wellington Steeplechase to be run in July over three and a quarter miles, will be worth £3500 in stakes and £2500 has been allotted for the Winter Hurdles.
A Fine Galloper The Matamata colt, Grey Moments, who has been off the scene this season, has been leased to Mr J. Wells. The Balloch representative is a brilliant galloper, and should be one of the highlights of the turf in the early spring.
Stake Winners In the list of winners this season appears the names of Silver Treasure £2620, Valley Boy £2320, Flowerburn £2150, Silver Lighting £I4OO, Regal Praise £I2OO and Kaitawa £ll9O.

Entries for the Woodstock Stakes at the Te Awamutu meeting on June 19 number 32, of which the best class include Black Ace, Bedivere, Robin Leigh, Silver Lighting, Conspiracy and Kaitawa. Sale of Thoroughbreds At the sale of thoroughbreds held at Greenlane a two year old black filly by Foxbridge—Night Step went to Mr J. C. Fletcher at 400gns. The Ellerslie trainer, Mr J. McLean, secured a yearling filly by Theio— Recipient 450gns. The top price at the sale* was 550gns for a yearling filly by the Waimana sire Pictavia— Solerity, Mr R. Blackburn of Ellerslie being the purchaser.
Auckland Cup Appeal Case The judges appointed by the N.Z. Racing Conference to hear the Auckland Cup finish appeal case dismissed the appeal, so the first, second third Balgowan, King’s Ransom and Howe go down in history in this order.
