Pickled Sheep And Lamb Pelt Prices At Last Sale
Offerings totalling 42,789 dozen pelts were sold at the fourth sale held in Wellington last week. Prices were firm sheep pelts and rose 18 per cent for lamb pelts. These prices are on a par with the sale in March.
The range of prices obtained are
Auckland District: . Sheep 106 s to 122 s 6d,. per dozen, lambs 52s 6d to 70s per dozen. / Hawke’s Bay-East Coast: Sheep 97s to 115 s 6d per dozen, lambs 46s 6d to 66s 6d per dozen. Wellington-West Coast: Sheep 91s to 125 s 6d per dozen, lambs 58s to 77s per dozen. Pfction-Nelson: Sheep 60s per dozen, lambs 53s to 58s per dozen. Canterbury-Otago: Sheep 70s to 99s 6s per dozen, lambs 63s to 75s per dozen. Southland: . Sheep 98s 6d per dozen, lambs 67s to 81s 6d per dozen.
