TE TEKO DOG TRIALS DRAW LARGE CROWD: DOGS WORK WELL

Favoured with a beautiful day and a large crowd of spectators and competitors the Te Teko Cattle' Dog Trial’s annual meeting on the Te Teko Domain on Saturday, was a great success. Competitors in the dog event were present from Tauranga, Opotiki and Rotorua and the local district was well represented. Mr C. McKenzie was judge of the event and the standard of work was considered the highest ever seen at Te Teko. Honours went to a very popular competitor, Mr Sam James. Previous to the war he was a very keen young competitor and after spending some years as a prisoner of war his friends are very pleased indeed to see that he has once again struck winning form.
