Those Brick Fences

Quite a shock was given the Beacon when the replies started to come in with the answers to last week’s Mathematical problem. It would appear that the good old three It's have not been entirely neglected in the modern school, for out of 65 replies, 44 were found to be correct. But, alas, all could not be winners and the two fastest off the mark and into the “Beacon” were Mrs J. M. Armstrong of Hillcrest and Mr C. ■Goodwin of the Union Bank. They may collect their respective prizes from the Beacon Office tomorrow. By the way, the correct answer was 4,038 bricks.
