Benefit Dance
A benefit dance organised by the Manawahe Hall Committee was held in the local hall last week. As a result the funds of the Whakatane R.S.A. benefited to the extent of £l3 Os 6d, commendable effort which was in no small way due to the wholehearted support given by many who did not attend but- donated by purchasing tickets. A party from Rotoma, and a bus load of patrons from Matata braved the ■ elements in a long passage over a weather worn road.
