Te Teko Men’s Golf
Following is the draw for the second round of the eclectic handicap to be played by members of the Te Teko Men’s Golf Club on Sunday:— Haultain and T. Lyons, Ranson' and Mcßride, Nation and Latimer, Moulden and Goodwin, Housham and Johnston, Hall and Saunders, Loane and Jamieson, A. P. Smith and Mita, Glen and Balfour, Thomas and Macken, Caldwell and Knight, K. Lyons and L. B. Smith, Burr and Francis, Haig and Gardiner, Campbell and Patchell.
Rotorua Golfer’s Success
With a bold 12-foot .putt on the 17th green, C. B. Herrold, of Rotorua, defeated E. A. George (New Plymouth) in the final of the Veterans’ Cup, the major event in the first annual tournament of the Auckland Provincial Society of Veteran Golfers, at the Grange club’s links. Herrold was 2 down at the end of the first nine holes, but won the i2th, 15th, 16th and 17th holes to win the match 2 up and 1 to play.
