IN MILD REPROACH
Sir, —Before I throw a little brick,, gently wrapped in cellophane lest it arouse the editorial wrath, I want to compliment you on your promptness in getting most local affairs into print. However, that comment does not apply to the recent annual meeting of the Whakatane branch of the 2 N.Z.E.F. Association.
Surely such an organisation as that should merit your attention? It cannot be that you did not know the meeting took place. Was it not advertised in your paper? What’s the gen,\Dig? Yours etc., INTERESTED. A report will appear in due course. Meetings of more or less private bodies are not usually attended by reporters except by special invitation, but in this case the secretary was asked to arrange for a report to be supplied. This he has promised to do after it has been checked and approved at Auckland. —Editor.
