No Easing Of Local Power Cuts
The Whakatane area will not be reaping any benefit from the new 5 per cent reduction in power cuts said the Borough electrical engineer, Mr F. Lysaght yesterday, because the district has been exceeding the quota allowed. Over the whole area the power consumption has been 13 per cent in excess of the quota.
