Support Of Industry For Dairy Commission

The dairy industry’s desire to work in harmony with the recenlty set up Dairy Products Marketing Commission, was expressed at the Bay of Plenty Ward Conference of the New Zealand- Dairy Board, at Whakatane on Wednesday, by the Board’s chairman, Mr W. E. Hale. “The Dairy Products Marketing Commission ■ has been in existence for only a very brief period,” said Mr Hale. “I can say quite frankly that the chairman and members of the Commission have made it clear that they wish to work in.complete harmony with the dairy industry. If we can establish a partnership of complete confidence' and goodwill between the Commission and ourselves, this industry will have achieved one of the greatest possible measures for long term economic stability. All we ask is an equal measure of co-operation and goodwill on the part of the Government, in implementing the Prime Minister’s assurance’ that our agreement in setting up the Commission would be honoured both in the letter and the spirit.”
