Hauraki Plains Farmers Worried About Crickets

Concern with the serious damage which was being done by crickets to pastures on the Hauraki Plains was expressed by members at the annual meeting of the Ngatea subbranch of the Paeroa and Hauraki Returned Services Association. Members mentioned several' beturned servicemen who had been seriously affected by the crickets and it was decided that a telegram be sent to the Minister of Agriculture stressing to him the seriousness of the position.
