WEDDING OF WIDE INTEREST AT MATATA: McCLEARY—MARR
A weddiiag of wide interest took place at St. Joseph’s Church, Matata, when Rachael, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs B. D. Maarr, was married to Andrew Makoftm McCleary, of Christchurch. Rev. Father Boyd officiated at the ceremony and celebrated Nuptial Mass. ' . i The organist was Miss Josephine Anderson. Mass was served by Mr Billy Marr; Teri Man* and Tommy Marr were ushera.3 The bride, who was escorted by her father, chose a smart white suit of white silk. listen featuring the new high neckß®.© and wore a large white picture k&f with veil. The flowers of he? shoulder spray were delphiniums and stock and she carried an ivory prayer book and rosary. Miss Monica Iter, attending her sister, wore a bawled suit of powder blue silk linen with white hat and accessories a&d shoulder spray of pink nar&Dfg*a> .Both bride and bridesmaid wotstj g©ld crosses and chains present© the bridegrooiaa. The brMegK3S33o> was attended by Mr Jim Mars as hpst man. v When they 3jeris the. church' the bride and g&QQS& war© presented with a token £$ good luck in the form of satin horseshoe to which was attached a tiny tiki At the reception held to the grounds of ths? bride’s parents, the quests were received by Mrs Marr wearing a navy frock with scarlet shoulder spray §aad nsaVy hat. Mr Fred Biirt Was toastmaster. For travelling the bride wore a model frock of crepe with matching' hat enSef accessories and an off-white c&eA The honeymoon was spent at Tauranga and The couple will be making their home a & Rotorua.
