Poland To Export Paper
Poland will soon become an exporter of paper, a scarce commodity irT most parts of the world. Export will be made possible by a change from the use of spruce to the use of pine in paper production. Poland is short of spruce, and has even had to import it from Sweden, but pine accounts for 75 per cent, of Polish timber. Poland recently negotiated delivery from Sweden of machinery and equipment for paper production from pine pulp. Paper-making machinery is also being produced at the restored “Maria” factory, Kaczanow, Lower Silesia.
