Thefts From Staff At Hospital Alleged

Reporting to the Hospital Board’s meeting yesterday the Matron, Miss K. Miller, said there had been a number Of thefts from staff quarters at the hospital. On two occasions at the end of last month rooms in the nurses’ home appeared to have been entered and thefts committed. One of the sisters had lost the complete contents of her pay envelope/ There had also been thefts from the domestic quarters. Police investigations are proceeding, and defective locks are being replaced.
