Bay Of Plenty Riders

In Cust Grand Prix The second important motor cycle race on the New Zealand Motor Cycle Calendar was' held at Cust near Christchurch on Easter Monday. Although D. Dean did not make the trip, other riders wellknown in Bay of Plenty competitions were starters in the open event. They were Bill Grey of Rotorua on his International Norton, and Ken Mudford of Tauranga and Jensen of Palmerston North with their Triumphs. The latter two riders did well Jensen finishing first and Mudford second. Other wellknown riders who started in the race were Digger Hallan of Auckland on his Special Triumph and Len Parry of Auckland on the wellknown Big Velo. • It is hoped that the public of Whakatane will have an opportunity of seeing some of these champions in action before long.
