War-Disabled To Drive

A group of 30 women drivers of the American Red Cross, chosen from the Washington, Baltimore, Pittsburg, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Louisville, Indianopolis and Richmond Chapters, has followed a course of five days’ training given by the American Automobile Association.

The course was planned to enable them to undertake the training of disabled persons and ex-combatants, who are being taught to drive a car despite, their amputations and other physical handicaps.

This initiative was started in order to fulfil a need arising out of a Government decision to provide cars for war-disabled persons.
