PUBLIC NOTICE BAY OF PLENTY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD NOTICE TO POWER BOARD AND WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL CONSUMERS POWER RESTRICTIONS To comply with the instructions of the Electricity - Controller, the Board’s total consumption of electricity requires to be immediately reduced by 10 per cent (10%). Until further notice commencing Friday, March 19, 1948, subject to obtaining the full co-operation of consumers in effecting the maximum possible economies, the supply of power will be cut oft' the whole of the Board’s supply district, including the Whakatane Borough Council, on every evening between the hours of 10.30 p.m. and 12.30 a.m. Under penalty of disconnection and/or prosecution the use of electricity for space heating (radiators etc.) is prohibited/ J.
