Nearly, But Not Quite

Two young boys had a very lucky escape from being hurt or even killed on Wednesday. They were riding up from Kopeopeo and happened to catch a lorry just as it was pulling out from the curb and "hitched a ride" on the tail-board. This was alright except that when the lorry had attained a fair speed it had to stop suddenly—both young "hitch-hikers" very nearly coming to grief.
