Mrs Haskell Sentenced To Life Imprisonment
The jury at the Supreme Court, Auckland, on Saturday afternoon found Mrs Pansy Louise Frances Haskell, aged 49, guilty of murdering Mrs Gladys Ruth Rusden eight months ago in the kitchenette - of her home at One Tree Hill. Accused was sentenced by Mr Justice Finlay to imprisonment for life with hard labour. Within ten minutes of the verdict she was being driven away from the Supreme Court to the Auckland Prison, where she has been in custody since her arrest last August.
