Minister Favours Picnic Race Meetings

During his visit to Whakatane on Tuesday the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Parry, expressed a certain disappointment that the Gaming Commission had not made recommendations to foster small picnic race meetings in country districts, possibly by the provision of small totalisators.
