Borough’s History In Pictures: Gift To Town
Valuable links in the pictorial history of the Borough of Whakatane have been provided by Mr C. F. Thomas by his gift to the Borough Council of a number of photographs. These were considered of such history interest that the Borough Council decided, on Monday night, to buy a suitable album in which to keep them, properly annotated.
In commenting on the value of Mr Thomas’s contribution to the Borough’s historical records, the Mayor and Councillors expressed the hope that other residents might be inspired to follow suit.
