Rangitaiki Sharemilkers Meet Union Organiser

A well attended meeting of sharemilkers was held in Walsh’s tearooms, at Edgecumbe last night. An address by Mr Alf Rogers, organiser for the sharemilkers branch of the N.Z.W.U. was appreciated by those present. Mr Rogers stressed the advantages gained for sharemilkers over the last few years by the Union. A number of questions were put to the speaker arid were answered very clearly. Mr W. Harnett branch secretary for the N.Z.W.U.,’also spoke on the advantages', of unionism. A vote of thanks to both speakers was carried by acclamation. Mr Rogers will, be spending considerable time in the district in the near future.
