New Zealand’s Olympic Team To Be Outfitted By Wool Board

Olympic representatives from New Zealand will be well clothed in New Zealand’s leading product when they attend the Olympic and British Empire Games this year. The New Zealand. Wool Board is presenting a special gift outfit to each member of the team.

Wardrobe equipment to be donated by the N.Z. Wool Board has already been decided and enthusiastically approved by the N.Z. Olympic Association. The' competitors are being carefully dressed for the occasion, as wool plays a more important part on behalf of health and comfort in sports than is often realised. Each Of the representatives chosen will be Supplied with a WOOL len sweatsuit for wearing befbre of after competing. This will be specially designed to keep competitors warm, and will prevent chills by making “cooling off” a slow process. Besides the sweatsuit, there will be a woollen blazer, grey slacks and a cap or beret, for wearing when the competitor is not taking part in tests. The Wool Board’s extra contribution to competition clothing for each representative will be a sleeveless black athletic singlet in fine wool. Black shorts will also be provided.
