School Radio Station?
The principal of Matamata College, Mr G. Mcß. Salt, has offered to build and operate, at his own expense, a low-powered radio station while the schools are closed because of the infantile paralysis. Mr Salt is a certificated amateur radio operator and he desires to use the station for a short period each day so that he and members of his staff may keep in close personal touch with the pupils. The suggestion is being considered by the Minister of Education, Mr McCombs,
