Limited Quantity Of Baling Wire Landed
Advice has been received by Federated Farmers from the Minister of Industries and Commerce that 128 tons of baling wire has been discharged at Wellington and the distribution to Auckland is 40 tons. The Minister has also said that further quantities are expected to come to hand during the next few weeks, which should assist in alleviating the shortage. The Minister has pointed out that every endeavour is being made to augment the quantity coming forward from .local manufacturers and it is hoped that adequate supplies will soon be available. This news will be welcome to the many contractors and farmers, who, due to the shortages of baling wire, have not been able to bale their hay this year. Though the wire is late in arriving, there will still be many who will benefit from this shipment.
