Special Refresher Course For Farming Trainees

For the purpose of giving rehabilitation farm trainees an insight into the methods employed by successful farmers, a special refresher course is to be conducted by the Waikato Farm School Association early in April on behalf of the Rehabilitation Board. The course will last for a period of ten days, and altogether about 80 trainees from various parts of the. Dominion are expected to attend, says the Waikato Times.

A comprehensive syllabus has been drawn up by the Farm School Association to cover both dairying and sheep farming. While there will be a number of lectures on various aspects of farming, the main features of the course will be visits to farms, where direct practical knowledge can be acquired. It is intended to divide the students into two groups, one group to visit dairy farms and the other to visit sheep farms.
