Austrian President Karl Renner doesn’t know whether he is himself or his twin brother. Born to his peasant parents 77 years ago, they were named Karl and Anton. To distinguish them, a red ribbon was tied around one, a blue around the other. In the excitement after the baptismal party, the ribbons were stripped off. One twin died a few weeks later. President Renner believes he is the babe with the red ribbon. But he can’t be sure.
