Whakatane Teams For Maunganui Surf Meet
At a special general meeting of the Whakatane Surf Life Saving Club held at the club-house last night, it was resolved that the club should enter the following teams in the second annual Surf Carnival sponsored by the Mt. Maunganui Surf Club at Mt. Maunganui: Surf Beltman’s Race: J. Maxwell and R. Morpeth. Surf Ski Rescue: B. Skelton. Four Man Alarm, No. 1 Team: J. Maxwell, R. Morpeth;- B. Skelton, J. McGill. No. 2 Team: Walter Quigg, J. Gartshore, J. Head, M. Henderson. Women’s Four Man Alarm: Mrs Danks, Misses M. Wilson, C. Windley and K. Cobb. Women’s R& R; Mrs Danks, Misses M. Wilson, J. Wilson, C. Windley, K. Cobb and B. Gulliver. Six Man R& R: B. Skelton, R. Morpeth, J. Maxwell, J. McGill, M. Henderson, J. Gartshore. March” Past team tq be selected.
