Local Talent Wins
An all time record attendance saw the New Year in at the Captain’s Cabin Ohope, when local residents and visitors joined together in the typical New Year manner. Over- the holidays a talent quest was helcl with the fihals proving a popular attraction last Saturday night. In spite of strong opposition from visiting artists both the dancing and vocal prizes went to local people judged by popular acclamation in both instances.
