First Suspected Case Of Infantile Paralysis In Bay Of Plenty A male child, the first suspected case of infantile paralysis in the Bay of Plenty district, has been admitted to the Opotiki Hospital. No further particulars are available at the moment. Ninety-seven positive cases of infantile paralysis have been reported in the North Island since the outbreak of the epidemic on November 15. There have been no positive cases in the South Island.
