Krupp Directors On Trial For War-Mongering
The trial has begun at Nuremberg of 12 former directors of Krupps, the biggest German armament firm. Their charge is helping the German war effort and with ultimately making' a war of aggression for their own profit. . -Among, the accused is Alfred Krupp, who succeeded his father, 70-year-old Gustav shortly before the end of the war. Gustav Krupp, who is reported to be seriously ill had been at the head of Krupps since the beginning of this century. He and his wife Bertha, who gave her name in the first World War to the German long-range gun Big Bertha, are now living in Austria.
