Miller, Matron of ' the District Hospital, has 1 been authorised by the Hospital Board to attend the Dominion Matrons’ Conference next April. 1 Yesterday’s meeting of the Hospital Board expressed sympathy with one .of its new mjenibers, Mrs D; E. Sumner, who is in hospital as the result of a motor accident last Saturday. Miss Myrtle Whiteside, late of Whakatane and now of Palmerston North, is one of the nine teachers chosen by the Education Department to teach in England next year and leaves by the Ruahine this month, for Newcastle-on-Tyne.
