New Superintendent And Deputy Appointed
Deputy Superintendent T. Hurndell has been promoted to Superintendent of the Whakatane Fire Brigade, in place of Superintendent F. H. Stewart, who has retired. Foreman C. A. Norman has been appointed Deputy Superintendent. The announcement of the appointments was made on Saturday night by the chairman of the Fire Board, Mr S. Shapley, at the Fire Brigade gathering in honour of the retiring Superintendent.
